Hurricane Katrina Video Links

I live in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. Pretty much the outer edge of ground zero thanks to hurricane Katrina. Here is a list of video links for the damages related to the hurricane.

Hurricane Katrina in Ocean Springs, Mississippi

Hurricanes do more than damage homes, cities and coasts. Hurricanes change ways of life. While we made it through Katrina healthy, with a minimal loss of property - in that our barn was blown over - we were without power and communications for 10 days. Family preparedness ensured we had plenty to eat and drink, while many others stood in line for basic necessities such as food and water. People stood in line by the hundred and waited hours for a 5 gallon ration of gasoline so they could drive to other areas in search of the necessities of life, costing them precious dollars that even now they are working to replace.

I will continue tossing out my thoughts on the events surrounding Hurricane Katrina and the after-math in entries to come.

Opening my blog

This is the first of many entries in my blog. I rant, chat, listen, debate and explain on IRC (That is Internet Relay Chat for the uninitiated out there) and so much goes by that should be preserved. Spewing out my mind in a channel where it may or may not matter. Well, the blog seems fun and I like the idea of recording it on this virtual chalkboard.
